Update

All teams except for Bill and Katy have been accounted for and are returning to the base in Colombo.

We welcome Dustin Cole from California who will be here for the next 2 months, offering tsunami support.

Update in Regards to the Recent Earthquake

Vegas called me this morning to inform me of a second earthquake. It came from the same fault that resulted in the massive tsunamis in December. It was recorded at 8.7 and was followed by a 6.2 aftershock. Thailand received warning and evacuated most of the people from the coastal areas. Sri Lanka did not receive warning that we know of.

Vegas and the majority of the team are safe in Colombo.
Andy, Mike, Amanda, and a few others (I do not know who) were traveling to Trincomalee when it hit. Vegas has not heard from them yet.

Second Earthquake Update

As of 3 hours since the initial earthquake in Bande Aceh, we have not experienced any damage or destruction as a result.

We have not re-establish contact with the 5 whom delivered medical supplies today nor have we received work from Bill and Katy (Maryland) whom conencted with a church in Trinco.

As soon as we reach them will update them accordingly. Currently telephone and most internet connections arr down. (I'm writing from the Apollo hospital)
